Larry Eifert has been a professional nature painter and writer for over 40 years. With over 100 large-scale murals and many hundreds of interpretive displays installed, he believes that no single artist, living or past has more art installed in America’s parks. His work is seen on many nature-oriented products from coast to coast. A third generation naturalist, he has now sold well over 3,000 original paintings.
Larry and Nancy Eifert live in Port Townsend, Washington on the Olympic Peninsula.
Artist’s Statement: “Both of my parents worked in a large natural history institution, the Illinois State Museum where mom was the author of 20 books and dad was Education Curator. There are memorial collections to their work in Illinois, as well as more distant creative relatives in Troyes, France. My family made it clear from the start that the skilled use with a pencil, a passion for the pristine and some keen observations were a family requirement.”
