Linda Lundell, one of Gallery 9’s featured artists for June, will be showing new oil paintings that exude simplicity and serenity. Inspired by the beauty of nature, the paintings of water lilies in a lush wetland environment reflect the sky, and showcase Lundell’s skill in capturing the natural presence of blossom and leaf. In addition to being a long-standing Gallery 9 2D artist, Lundell also creates 3D art with her stunning cloisonné fine art jewelry.
Also in June, Gallery 9 features glass artist Nancy Rody’s latest collection of jewelry. Crafted from sea glass, Rody uses the unique variations of shape, size and color to create one of a kind earrings and pendants. The new pieces are created with found glass combined with tiny seashells, silver findings and an elegant design aesthetic.
Join Linda Lundell and Nancy Rody in discussing their art during Gallery Walk, Saturday, June 3, from 5:30 to 8 p.m., at Gallery 9, 1012 Water Street, in Port Townsend. See gallery-9.com or call 379-8881 for more information.
